ROBO INSPECTION

We are a company that focuses on inspections of inner and outer shells of large volume tanks. For this purpose, we have developed our own robot with customazible accessories. Our solution shall enable you to improve workplace safety, make up for insufficient numbers of experts and reduce the shutdown periods to a minimum.

Inner Shell Inspection

We specialize in inspections of inner shells of large volume tanks. These mainly include tanks with interior surface treatment, for example in the form of rubberization. Such surfaces of metal tanks are more resistant to abrasive substances which are stored in them. However, the wholeness of the protective layer may be damaged over time. The weakened spots should be identified and repaired as soon as possible to prevent any breakdowns. We are capable of inspecting the inner tank shell with our automated robot during both emergency and regular inspections, for example in the course of regular shutdowns.

Moreover, the inspection itself is usually much faster than conventional methods, such as constructing the scaffoldings and then manually inspecting the tank. Our robot offers a considerably shorter period necessary for the preparations prior to performing the measurements. The robot is ready for action within minutes, as it is only necessary to secure the robot with a cord and attach it to the inner tank surface with magnetic tracks. The disassembly is just as fast. As for the inspection itself, it is usually performed in linear sections which overlap each other for the purpose of not missing any spot.

Outer Shell Inspection

Inspections of outer shells of large volume tanks often turn out to be rather challenging, since they are impeded by various circumstances: working at height, the construction of scaffolding and usually also the lack of space. Our automated robot with magnetic tracks enables us to eliminate some of these conditions completely or at least to reduce them to a minimum. We hereby decrease the time necessary for the tank inspection, which reduces the entire period of the shutdown as well. As a result, our clients are able to save significant resources which would otherwise have to be spent during every single inspection.

Our automated robot with magnetic tracks moves directly across the surface of the tank. Usually, this type of inspections proceeds as follows: the robot is switched on and set up, then fitted with measuring equipment and secured with a safety cord preventing it from falling uncontrollably. At this moment, the robot is ready for the inspection itself. This preparation and putting into operation are usually very swift processes. The measuring operation is generally executed in linear sections which overlap each other for the purpose of ensuring the complete coverage of the space.

The robot is aware of its location and is thus able to draw a map and specify the measured data or potential defects in the course of the inspection. As a result, the acquired data may be analysed during the inspection and further steps may be planned immediately.
